Some of the recipes can be modified or adjusted accordingly (Leake says 87 recipes are/can be nut-free, 71 recipes are/can be gluten-free, 79 recipes are/can be vegetarian, and 49 recipes are/can be dairy-free) but it is a book about eating ALL food groups.

The first part of the book is all about Leake's conversion from what she called the "Standard American Diet" — her realization that the food she was feeding her family was processed, and her journey to make the change to real food.
