Liza Cody was born in London. She attended the City and Guilds of London Art School and the Royal Academy School of Art. She managed to support herself as a painter before becoming a film studio technician. Before turning to crime writing she also worked as a furniture-maker, a photographer, a graphic designer and an assistant at Madame Tussauds. Michael Z. Lewin" is the award-winning author of ten adult detective novels. He always seeks new challenges, and when he realized that Jackie's story was about a young woman coming of age, he set out to write his first book specifically for younger readers. Born in the United States, he now resides in England. Peter Lovesey, author of five previous Peter Diamond mysteries, has been awarded the British Crime Writers Association Gold, Silver, and Diamond Daggers, as well as many U.S. honors. He lives in West Sussex, England.
