A Certain Chemistry by Esther Harshom

It was supposed to be a simple firing: a junior lab worker who had been using company equipment on her own time. But Olivia Frost's little project was a formula that allowed complete control over another person's body -- and she wasn't quite ready to forgive her boss for being such a bitch for so long.

Payback can be brutal... but with a little chemical knowhow, it can also be controlling, sexy, and incredibly hot.

‘What have you done to me?’ Estelle shouted, angrily. Her words were greeted with the same smug grin, but otherwise nothing but silence. ‘I mean it. Tell me what you’ve done.’

‘Shut up.’

Olivia spoke calmly and authoritatively, as though she was born to be in control. Immediately, Estelle felt a tightening around her throat, her vocal chords immediately seizing up. It wasn’t painful, exactly, but it was certainly restrictive; she stood there for a moment or two, opening and closing her mouth like a goldfish, completely mute.

It must be a dream, she thought. I’m dreaming, and in a few minutes I’m going to wake up and everything will be back to normal.

‘Good,’ Olivia said, satisfied, as Estelle attempted to massage some movement back into her throat. It was no use: she could barely feel the touch of her fingers pressing against her throat. It was as though there was something in the way, keeping her from her own body. ‘I suppose you’re probably wondering what’s happening to you, eh?’

Estelle nodded.

‘My little project? The one you decided to try and fire me over? I’ve been working on a new type of drug, designed to promote a temporary feeling of... well, I suppose you’d call it “unconscious suggestibility”. The mind ticks on as ever, but the body does exactly as it’s told.’ She grinned broadly. ‘Pretty cool, eh?’
