The scorchingly sensual novel of a female operative believed to be dead and 'resurrected' against her will for one last mission finds that this time her death may be all too real. When CIA agent Jeremy Peterson locates his supposedly dead former operative, Rebecca Monroe, living under another name and working in high-level real estate, she refuses to take the assignment he offers. Rebecca is still deeply emotionally scarred from the way the Agency and Peterson abandoned her when she was taken captive in Colombia on her last mission. But, Jeremy cleverly manipulates and blackmails her, so that she has no other choice or risk revealing her past identity; something her current lover and friends have no knowledge of. The target of the mission is Senor Ruiz, late 50's, macho, head of a notorious drug cartel in Colombia that's recently expanded to include a 'distributor', who owns several facilities in the Caribbean. Rebecca embarks on the assignment to gather information on the 'distributor' at the Port of New York and intercept a drug delivery at a dance club. But when things go wrong, she and Jeremy, who have become lovers, attracted to each other almost against their will, are forced to flee to Columbia, where Rebecca, now in control, leads Jeremy on a spine tingling adventure for the real target and the reason behind her 'resurrection', an awakening of corruption that threatens to destroy them both.
