Synopsis

She said that he was boring, and she was bored. Plus a lot of other things that hurt even deeper. So she moved out. Not because of another guy, she insisted. It was just something she had to do. For herself.

It's his birthday, and she always made a big deal about them before. So tonight they're going on their first real 'date' since the split. It's a hot and muggy night, the moon is very full, and he's had a lot of time to think things over in the last few weeks.

She's always been very reserved, especially about sex. Always in the bedroom, with the door closed and the lights out, no exceptions. He thinks she would be a whole lot less bored if she opened up a little, and that tonight would be an exceptionally good time to find out.

After a wild night on the living room carpet, in a restaurant booth, and finishing up out in the open air, he proposes a reasonable compromise.

Maybe they'll be able to work things out after all.
