She enjoys a wide range of crafts but particularly loves sewing, quilting and embroidery which she learnt from her mother and grandmother. Lisa, together with her teenage daughter Sarah, have been sharing their sewing, craft, and baking projects on their blog, A Spoonful of Sugar, since 2008. They have a large and loyal readership of crafty types who have been following their crafting and baking journey. Their blog has had over 7 million page views. Lisa has designed, written, and photographed many free sewing tutorials to inspire beginner and intermediate sewers. Her tutorials guide their readers step by step through the projects.
