Synopsis

Thirteen-year-old Caitlin has been looking forward to the camping trip with her older sister in the woods of northern Minnesota. She didn't plan on having her sister's boyfriend along, or on encountering the ghost of a boy who died in a fire that destroyed the forest over one hundred years ago.

The attitudes and hang-ups of characters remain convincing, however, and Bauer's ( On My Honor ) on-target dialogue more than compensates for other pat or farfetched plot aspects.
