Peter Strickland can't allow non-traditional, new-age Jann Fletcher, who lives on a sail boat in Hawaii, to keep him from acquiring custody of his nephew. Having failed to keep his sister Claire, safe, he vows to do for his sister's baby what he was unable to do for Claire.

Jann has already lost her parents and her best friend Claire. Now she's determined to keep custody of Claire’s baby.

So, Jann combats Peter with all the magic she possesses; a magic which can only come from the heart of a woman.
