While the characters and events in this book are fictitious, most people will point to at least one story and say, “That happened to me” or “I dated that idiot.”

Here are some sample lessons that the idiot dating person can learn:

A rose may be a rose by any other name,
but the name you have says a lot about
you. More aptly stated, it’s better to
be called “Prince”, then to be
called “Dopey.”

Use the telephone to give the news that
you “Just want to be friends.”

Handcuffs are rarely an appropriate
accessory for a dinner affair.

When you rent fake parents, always get
their real names first.

When you find a basement bargain, make
sure that it’s not in the morgue.

If you’re not willing to train them,
then don’t get a puppy.

If you’ve ever dated an idiot, then this book will hopefully provide some insight into the making of an idiot dating person and in the process provide some laughter."
