Anna Brown is nearly forty when she earns a college degree and seeks a job at a juvenile detention center in the Missouri Ozarks. Though she's afraid of animals, Michael Grant hires her to oversee a pet therapy program. A spring snowstorm provides them with plenty of time to become acquainted, but neither is willing to share the secrets of their past. It will take a near crisis to teach Anna about loyalty, from both pets and people. Michael blames himself for what nearly happened, and wonders if it's too late to confess the truth. Taking a lesson from God's unfailing grace, will Anna and Michael each be willing to give the other another chance?
