Synopsis
Anger is a gift.
The Arusyan Empire controls half the known world - and its borders are still expanding. After brutally conquering Somaria, the king turns his army west, leaving his ruthless sons as wards. Torn by the destruction, the land desperately reaches out for hope.
Against the mighty empire stands the enigmatic Carleon Orion, an imperial deserter now leading the Somarians in rebellion. Using their shared hatred of the Arusyans, Carleon takes a band of outcasts and rogues and turns them into deadly warriors.
Caught in the wake of the escalating conflict, Danario awakes in the rebel camp after his parents are murdered and his village is burned to the ground. He finds other orphaned children like himself, and together they train and wait for the day they can avenge their loved ones.
The forests bleed and the countryside burns as the stakes are raised higher and higher in this epic quest for vengeance. Hauntingly beautiful and action-packed, Ashes in the Fall is the story of an ex-soldier seeking redemption and a young boy struggling to find new purpose after their lives are set ablaze by the empire.
