Prior to realizing her dream of becoming a writer, Lisa Renee Jones owned and operated a multistate staffing agency with sales as high as sixteen million a year. She was recognized by many publications including the prestigious Entrepreneur magazine. In 2003, she sold her business to focus full-time on her writing. Since then, she has sold books to four major publishing houses in multiple genres. You can find out more about her busy release schedule by visiting her Web site. Olivia Gates has been a singer, a painter, a women's accessories designer, a wife, a mother — oh, and a doctor, too. She's still all that, even if singing, painting and designing have taken a back seat, while her wife, mother and doctor sides have been pushed to the forefront. She can see you wondering — uhh, what about writing?Yes, she's always written, too, admittedly more off than on as she ran around being all of the above. Somehow, she never thought a writing career was an option. Then with the purchase of her first computer in 2001 (yeah, a bit behind, but she prefers to refer to it as her "millennium upgrade!") and her introduction to cyberspace, she found and discovered that the publisher whose books she'd grown up devouring accepted un-agented manuscripts from first-time writers.A determined spree of submissions (95% of them clueless until she actually learned the real hard business of writing!) and two years later, she sold her first book, Doctors on the Frontline to Harlequin Medical Romance. The day she received a face-to-face call from her editor in her first ever writing conference among her writing friends and idols, the only ones who really understand what this achievement means, retains the place of honor in her life as its most exciting day!Since July 2003, it's been a roller-coaster ride of activity and productivity, since she's now a full-time doctor and author. (DON'T ask!)She's written several more books for the Medical line, and also for the Bombshell series, Silhouette's hot, heroine-oriented, action-adventure line! The funny (and weird) part is that until Olivia had written the book that sold, she'd never thought of writing medical-oriented books. Now all her books have daring, dedicated medical heroes and heroines scorching up the pages in unrelenting, against-all-odds adventures, helping people in need while struggling with the turmoil of their own lives and overriding passions.Olivia Gates lives with her alpha husband, lovely daughter and their white Angora cat. Her husband is her adviser and, with her incredible mother, her staunchest supporter. Her daughter gives her plot ideas, and they're all along the lines of a doctor trying to reach his patients on a hot rainbow barefoot. With an imagination like that, Olivia's encouraging her to write her own books. Olivia's cat curls up on her lap, cramping her and critically watching the story unfold on the screen, then tries to edit the manuscript to his liking by walking all over the keyboard. Linda O. Johnston’s first published fiction appeared in Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine and won the Robert L. Fish Memorial Award for Best First Mystery Short Story of the Year. Now, several published short stories and four novels later, Linda is recognized for her outstanding career achievement in the romance genre.A practicing attorney, Linda juggles her busy schedule between mornings of writing briefs, contracts, and other legalese, and afternoons of creating memorable tales of paranormal, time travel, mystery, contemporary, and romantic suspense. Armed with an undergraduate degree in journalism with an advertising emphasis from Pennsylvania State University, Linda began her versatile writing career running a small newspaper, then working in advertising and public relations, and later obtaining her J.D. degree from Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh.Linda belongs to Sisters in Crime and is actively involved with Romance Writers of America, participating in the Los Angeles, Orange County, and Western Pennsylvania chapters. She lives near Universal Studios, Hollywood, with her husband, two sons, and two cavalier King Charles spaniels. Caridad Piñeiro Scordato was born in Havana, Cuba, and settled in the New York Metropolitan area. She attended Villanova University on a Presidential Scholarship and graduated Magna cum laude. Caridad earned her Juris Doctor from St. John's University and became the first female partner of Abelman, Frayne & Schwab, an intellectual property firm in midtown-Manhattan.Caridad is a multi-published author whose love of the written word developed when her fifth-grade teacher assigned a project -- to write a book that would be placed in a class-lending library. She has been hooked on writing ever since.Caridad's seventh novel, Darkness Calls, was a Silhouette Intimate Moments release in March 2004. The Calling vampire series, based on characters from Darkness Calls, debuted with Danger Calls in June 2005 and Temptation Calls in October 2005. Due to overwhelming fan support and reviews, look for Death Calls and two other books in The Calling series beginning in December 2006! Death Calls helped the Silhouette line launch its new Nocturne paranormal line, and Caridad was one of the authors featured by Harlequin at this year's BookExpo America in Washington, D.C.Join Caridad and five other writers in April 2006 for a Silhouette Intimate Moments series, Capturing the Crown.
