THE BARNZ YARNZ SERIES These short stories are of the type traditionally told by blokes over a cold beer or two down at the pub (hence the cover design). They are the sort of tales recounted by chatty sheilas who have plundered the wine cellar for a ‘savvy’ or a ‘charders’ after a sod of a day combat shopping. Accordingly, these are stories of family, mates, travels, holidays, work and military service. All of them are intended to make you laugh, there is not a miserable line among them. The humour in these pages lies in the ‘real-life’ bases of these yarns, in the fact that ‘ordinary’ people do live funny lives. The ‘truth’ may have been tweaked just a little in parts for literary effect, but the essence of all these stories is ‘reality literature’. As a bonus for readers like my mate Cyril, who read en lavatoire, this book is printed on recycled toilet paper. Pages may be removed and used for sanitary purposes if the roll on the wall is exhausted. Please dispose of only those pages that have been read in this manner; under no circumstances should used pages be reaffixed to the book. High-tech readers who have been frugal enough to obtain the ‘e’ version, will not have the ‘sanitary purposes’ option Cheers, Billy Barnz
