Starting over is hard enough under normal circumstances, but it becomes even more difficult when your past follows you wherever you go, holding you hostage. Amelia Moore knows this all too well as she and her daughter continually move to evade an abusive man who refuses to let them go. Once again calling a new place home, they settle in and go from a lonely 2 to a happy 3 with the addition of a dog rescued from a shelter. Amelia, with her child, Maddie, and dog, Stanley, get comfortable and begin to enjoy and embrace their fresh start, but the past is never far behind. Determined to change her life once and for all, Amelia plans to stand her ground but is faced with the unexpected. New love casts its light upon her when she least expects it and despite the urge to hide from it, will she cave to Bayou Beginnings?
