Winters continued to lead the outfit now immortalized as the Band of Brothers during the liberation of Europe and was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. Col. Cole C. Kingseed, U.S. Army (Ret.), the author of five books, is an Army veteran, military historian, and the president of his own leadership consulting firm.
