His immediate family consisted of one sibling, his mother, and his father whose only expression of love was revealed through the beatings he gave. After being forced to face the inheritance of his family's past, Pritchett found solace in writing. In Broken Path to Purple Rainbows he shares his pains while finding purpose to push beyond them.
