Synopsis
CANNES TAKE NO PRISONERS: A NOVELLA is a behind the scenes look into what it actually was like for ALEX, a man in his late twenties, to produce a documentary in Cannes, France during the internationally famous Cannes Film Festival. The subject of the documentary, DAWN, works in movies and is at Cannes as an event planner for the film premieres. If she can pull off all of her events and premieres in Cannes using a budget consisting solely on money raised from branding, she’ll sign a huge contract with an Oscar winning producer for his next twenty films – the kind of contract that would make her popular enough for the indie production to be purchased by a network. Will DAWN be able to pull off the kind of luxury parties Cannes is used to when the movies are all independent films?
