In 1866 Palo Duro Canyon, Texas, a medicine woman's skills were put to the test as her little boy, Nobel, watched. A series of events began on that day and eventually drove him from the place that he loved until, years later, he returned to the canyon with his wife, Myrtle, and their children, There they fight against evil from the past and present.
Myrtle and her friend, Sally, were rescued from a brothel as children. Sally takes the arduous trip to Texas in search of teh mother who sold her to the evil man who took the girls to the mining camps of Colorado.
