Kimberley Rose Dawson, author of CAROUSEL, resides in Trail, British Columbia. CAROUSEL and CAROUSEL - THE MISSING YEARS are actually based on her own life story.  All the names have been changed to respect the privacy of the characters, including her own name.  Kimberley was born in Scarborough, Ontario and attended Regent Heights school on Pharmacy Avenue. In 1957 she moved with her parents to Bradford, Ontario and attended Bradford District High School. After several anguishing years, she moved to British Columbia in the hopes of effecting a geographic cure for her alcoholism.  She finaly sobered up with the help of Alcoholics Anonymous and settled in Trail where she lives now with her two cats, Brody and Kitty.
