Cause and Effect an adventure through time, is the story of recluse genius, Sid Ruby. Sid is both obsessed with alien encounters and traumatized by his failures in human interaction. Through a chance encounter, Sid discovers the secret of unlocking the dimensional barrier of time travel. To remedy both issues, he spends the next five years creating a machine giving him dominion over time itself. But to where and to when would he travel? For him the choice was an easy one to make. Many of his personally celebrated Alien Times news articles centered around the most credible extraterrestrial event ever recorded in modern history: the 1947 UFO sightings near the small town of Roswell, New Mexico. It seemed the perfect solution. He would arrive at the site prior to the government's intervention and escape with his new alien friends to another world. At least this was his plan.
