Nick Springer is a go-getting young banker, hellbent on climbing the corporate ladder and intent on becoming very rich. His ambition gets a supercharged boost when, using a partnership in the bank as lure, boss Sir James Francis and his homely daughter Lorna entice Nick into becoming engaged to her. But there is a catch, a test; before the wedding Nick must make a trip to Mumbai, India, to clean up the corrupt branch of Sir James’s bank.
Once there, Nick is enthralled by the mystery of India. One girl in particular, beautiful Alisha catches his eye; she has been appointed Nick’s guide for his time overseas. But Alisha is troubled by a burden of past problems and Sharma the branch manager is devious and cunning. Soon Nick realizes there is much, much more to this simple trip to India than Sir James could have anticipated. Both Sharma and Alisha have separate yet intertwining agenda relating to Sir James, and it has nothing to do with money.
Long ago, two men loved the same woman. One callously sent his beloved to be judged by Islam sharia law at the cost of her life. The other man vowed revenge, revenge whose time had finally come.
Now Nick is nothing but a pawn, surrounded by hounds who worship the gods of greed and reprisal at any cost—even the betrayal of love, and life.
