When a gorgeous doctor invites diner waitress Jenny Labeaux to a fancy ball, she expects one magical evening of feeling like Cinderella. And as the clock strikes twelve, Jenny is still in Chance Demetrios's strong arms. Until she realizes that the scandal-plagued playboy is everything her young daughter doesn't need in a daddy--and leaves him in her dreams.

The hardworking single mother touched a part of Chance he hadn't known existed. For the first time, the wealthy bachelor is thinking about wedding bells! But proving his love to Jennifer--and his overbearing, wealthy family--will take more than a glass slipper. It'll take everything Chance is.

Lois Faye Dyer always knew she would be a writer someday. When her big sister read aloud from Rudyard Kipling, Albert Payson Terhune or Mary O'Hara, five-year-old Lois would plan her own stories about a mongoose named Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, a dog named Lad and horses with names such as Flicka and Thunderhead. A lifelong bookaholic, she wrote her first western novel when she was fourteen, but since she had no clue about romance, the book was only a hundred pages long. She persevered, however, and sold her first contemporary romance in 1990. In the years between five years old and 1990, Lois lived in various places: a wheat-and-cattle ranch in northeastern Montana, an 1800s home on the shores of Lake Okoboji in Iowa, in the picturesque turn-of-the-century coastal town of Mendocino in Northern California, and the Spanish-flavored city of San Buenaventura on the Pacific Ocean in Southern California. After working in the legal community, she now spends her days doing what she loves most--writing novels. She lives with two demanding and loveable cats, Chloe and Evie, in a small town on the shore of beautiful Puget Sound in the Pacific Northwest. Catching the ferry to visit her daughter and two granddaughters in Seattle is a favorite pastime, as is taking long walks with her son and his yellow Labrador, Anna.Lois loves to hear from readers and you can write to her c/o Paperbacks Plus, 1618 Bay Street, Port Orchard, Washington 98366.
