Alejandro Junger, M.D. is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology. In addition, after completing his medical training Junger studied Eastern medicine in India. He was the medical director of WE Care Holistic Health Center in Palm Springs, a world famous center for fasting, cleansing, and detoxification. Currently, he is in private practice at the renowned Eleven Eleven Wellness Center and has recently started an Integrative Medicine Service at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.

Focusing on fresh and plant-based foods, this cleansing program is likely to drop a few pounds from your frame and leave you feeling healthier all around. Just keep in mind that weight loss is likely to be regained once regular eating habits ensue.

I’m not a doctor, so I can’t say if anyone needs to do a detox. For the most part, I already eat most of what on Junger’s Yes list and don’t eat a good chunk of the foods that are on his No list.
