EXCERPT:

More than anything, Kara wanted to lead Zach into her apartment and ravage him. But she was too nervous to make a move, afraid she wouldn’t be able to perform yet again. She was always so embarrassed when a guy figured out she hadn’t come — it always made her feel like such a failure — that she’d taken to putting off the normal third date activity till around the sixth date. She had hoped that by waiting, the guy would have fallen so helplessly in love with her that he wouldn’t care as much that she was frigid. Until Zach, she’d never realized those guys had never particularly cared if she got off.

So when Zach slowly leaned into her at her front door, she pulled away just a little. It was a slight movement but he noticed. He stopped, brushed a lock of hair from her cheek, the touch of his fingers leaving trails of fire behind, and looked straight into her eyes. “Is it okay if I kiss you?” His voice was melted chocolate dripping over ice cream. A shudder ripped through her body.

Kara was reeling from his earthy musk. The longing she felt was more than just for sex. She wanted to be held, treasured. Zach was offering that, right here, right now. He’d seen to her every need all night, so it stood to reason he’d be just as attentive in bed. Perhaps tonight she would experience full release, if she would just let herself go. Perhaps there was hope.

Her eyes flicked from his eyes to his full, slightly parted lips and there was nothing more she wanted than to have them move all over her body. Still staring at those luscious lips, her head bobbed almost imperceptibly.

Conscious thought disappeared the instant their mouths met. Her lips parted and Zach took full advantage by slicking his tongue over hers, probing. He cupped her face, one hand entangling itself in her hair, the other holding her cheek as if it was a priceless object. Her knees threatened to give way as the tip of his tongue traced her lower lip, his teeth nipping lightly, then his mouth engulfed her again.

She could breath again only when he left her mouth, kissing fire and ice down her slender neck. A warm flush infused her body and every sense was heightened. The flickering fluorescent lights of her entryway danced behind her closed lids, sparkling like orange fireworks. The perfume from the wisteria climbing around the entry arch mingled with Zach’s masculine scent in a heady way. And she could hear the sharp tinkle of a key ring moving closer. The keys probably belonged to her neighbor. The nosey neighbor who, at any moment, would see her making out with a hottie on her front step. Shit!

“Quick,” she whispered as she turned around to let them into the apartment.

“Not on your life,” was Zach’s growling response. He slipped his arms around her and pressed his body against her back. He buried his face into her neck and breathed heat into her ear, outlining it with the tip of his tongue. Kara found it extremely difficult to focus on getting her key into the lock with his rock hard bulge digging into her ass. The key finally slid home and they tumbled into the apartment, closing the door just as the neighbor came around the corner.
