The narrator of the book is a young woman who finds love when she least expects it. She is led to believe she has found her soul-mate when events start to take the wrong turn. Through stories of her childhood of growing up in Bangladesh and spending her teenage years in Australia, we get into the deep psychy of this young woman who must decide right from wrong as the events unfold before her. Can she make the decision that is right for her and at the same time not betray the beliefs that she had grown up with? Can she find the strength and courage to break away from the turmoils in her life and finally have a future that buries the heartache of the past? Or she doomed into a life-long nightmare with no hope of release?
