Synopsis

When Antonia Everett was six, her Jordanian gigolo father got deported, and her mother left her in the care of her own parents, central Florida cattle ranchers. At 16, she became a mother herself — and soon discovered that her biker husband, whose custom it was to lock her in their trailer when he went out partying — was psychotic. She grew accustomed to being raped by strangers to whom he owed gambling debts. At an age when most American girls are picking out their prom dresses, Toni was raising her little boy alone on what she earned as an accountant at a Lakeland car wash.

By 40, she was the most in-demand dominatrix in the American Southeast, counting multimillionaires, famous athletes, and politicians among her loyal, if necessarily clandestine, clientele.

Cruel Goddess: Confessions of a Dominatrix reveals how — and why — she did it.
