Randy's life was not the way it used to be. After her mother was killed in an accident, and her father remarried, they moved to a new town where Randy didn't know a soul. As she tried to get friendly with her next door neighbor, Delia Abbot, suddenly she shut Randy off. Randy didn't know why--until she saw the purplish bruise on Delia's back. Until she noticed Delia's father screaming and hitting the lawnmower. Until she wondered if maybe, just maybe, someone's lifes was in worse shape than her own. And if that was the case, what could Randy do...?
