I know that it is sleep paralysis when I awake, but when having this episode, I feel it so threatening and malevolent, I call on the name of Jesus (sometimes it feels like I can't verbalize it) but it makes me feel better, believing that His name "banished" the presence on top of me.

After Hearne, Laberge and others back in the 1970s and 80s demonstrated that lucid dreamers could deliver pre-arranged messages (eye movement patterns) from the dream state to research confederates in the Lab, research on lucid dreams has taken off.

The big dreams were very likely older memories recalled from long term autobiographical memory stores while the recent ordinary dreams were very likely not recalled from this store.
