Synopsis

Here is an enchanted kingdom rumbling, tumbling and overflowing with sparkling new versions of Hans Christian Andersen stories, written with all the warmth, wry humour and character of the 19th-century originals. Naomi Lewis's elegant collection includes both well-loved favourites and less familiar but equally enthralling tales -- The Happy Family, Elf Hill, Little Ida's Flowers -- all chosen to appeal to young readers.

Emma Chichester Clark's illustrations create a magic world in an anthology which will be much read and greatly treasured.
