Synopsis

On a planet where elves, humans, and trolls have lived for millions of years, conflict arises on a grand scale when Bearclaw, the tenth chief of the Wolfriders, confronts a new human settlement near an elf camp.

Author and illustrator Wendy Pini was born in San Francisco in 1951. In 1969, Richard Pini read a letter written by Wendy Fletcher that had been published in The Silver Surfer comic book. They struck up a correspondence and married in 1972. She has created covers and illustrations for numerous publications including Galaxy Science Fiction, Galileo, Marvel Comics, and DC Comics. In 1978, they created Warp Graphics and the Elfquest series of comics, graphic novels, and prose works. Elfquest was one of the first independently published American comic series. In 1992, they started allowing other artists and writers to produce Elfquest stories. She also created two graphic novels based on the television show Beauty and the Beast. Author and editor Richard Pini was born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1950. He received a degree in astronomy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1969, he read a letter written by Wendy Fletcher that had been published in The Silver Surfer comic book. They struck up a correspondence and married in 1972. In 1978, they created Warp Graphics and the Elfquest series of comics, graphic novels, and prose works. Elfquest was one of the first independently published American comic series. In 1992, they started allowing other artists and writers to produce Elfquest stories. He worked for IBM and Hayden Planetarium before working full-time at Warp Graphics. He handles all of the publishing and business aspects of their company.
