Synopsis

There have been moments when I've looked at a person or picture and in that moment, have been able to see a story. Sometimes, the story is entirely theirs, or belongs to that unique place or object. Other times,it will trigger a memory or a deeply personal connection. At these moments, I find myself grabbing for a pen to try to capture the emotions that have stirred before they slip away.
The stories in this first compilation are some of the results of my imagining, pondering, anticipating and remembering.
There is a little fiction and a little fact in each one, a little personal experience or that of friends and family. There are hope, dreams and plans contained in each written vignette, as they revealed themselves to me in the moment I saw them.
I hope as you read each one that you'll see what I've tried to capture from these images - pictures painted with ink to parchment in cursive. I hope too, that you'll carry away from these written pictures a little of the joy, sorrow, love and loss that so inspired me to capture their essence on the page.
