Keith Sutherland has once again been able to hit on the right format by using his criminal background for yet another first class crime novel. From the very beginning, his description of how two ex convicts unknowingly sell a stolen painting to a top member of the supposedly disbanded IRA organization and the subsequent murder of his friend because of it, makes for compulsive reading, as also does his story of how the main character Peter Lawson is blackmailed, and manipulated into believing that he is working for the MI5. This is a fast moving action packed novel which takes one into many exciting and intriguing situations, murder, blackmail, a love and hate relationship; just to name a few that are the ingredients that make this an exciting book to read.
