Marc Caldwell has raised his daughter on a country ranch with the help of his brother and sister-in-law. Retired young, he has devoted his life to his daughter, but she will soon leave for college. His brother thinks he should make plans for the future, but suddenly more serious concerns befall the family.

Two new women have entered Marc's life: a blue-eyed, short-tempered journalist, and a beautiful new neighbor with soft mocha skin and delicate features that mimic those of his beloved late wife. Both women have secrets... but one is out for murder.

I remember as a child how my mother would talk about the different books she had read, which perked my interest. So I would steal away to read them and found it was hard putting them down once I got started. I have a great love for books that are full of action and suspenseful with mystery; my favorites are fantasy and magical with a taste of romance; but the horror and science fiction that give you the chills and thrills will make my day every time. Give me the medieval times with knights and dragons, wizards and witches; now these things are what makes a good read for me. Several years ago, I began to write fanfics and found a passion for writing. I wanted to take what was in my head and put it on paper and share with others what was in my imagination, as others had done before me. As I start this new adventure in my life, I can only move forward and see this journey to its end. It's all about enjoying what you do and doing what you enjoy. S. R. Burks
