He later joined the Mississippi Air National Guard and in private life became a commercial rated pilot, flying risky assignments and cargo to exotic locales around the world. A successful entrepreneur, his business interest led him to the founding of Aero Tech Industries, becoming an innovator in the field of aviation Votech School development, curriculum and staffing. As a consultant, Green helped design and implement a support facility for the express aero-delivery system of the Memphis based FedEx facility.Asked by the media if his writings are rooted in the reality of recent history, Green is quick to note that, "the books are a fictional adaptation of some events that may have some historical significant. Unless, of course, it’s Cajun Mike speaking: “There’s sho’ a lots of swamp water and cypress trees down there.” Irresistible lead characters will likely draw fans and leave them looking for a third adventure with Rob and Mike, despite the novel’s slow spots.
