Easter Sunday, Ward gets a call from his estranged wife. She says she caught a glimpse of their two boys in Lincoln City where they were presumed drowned a year ago today. It has to be a cruel joke, except Ward can hear his wife falling apart on the phone. And that tiny part of him that still hopes, that hasn’t followed the rest of him into the black pit his life has become, just has to drive out there and see for himself…
