Nineteen year old James Moody, after a brief respite on a goat farm in Wales, resumes a life devoid of luck. Pining for Karla, the girl he met in 'Root,' a threshold of the afterlife for suicidal souls, he sets off for Scotland, where he is abducted by her cultist father, who is also searching for her. In the spirit world, his luck is no better. He becomes caught up in a war between Frelsi and Neueden, two communities of rogue souls attempting to create their own makeshift 'Heavens.'

But James is special. He possesses rare, innate skills for crafting the stuff of dreams that forms the Liminality. Can he master them in time to find his love and avoid the Deeps?

I'm a tropical disease researcher, who travels regularly to both sides of Africa with an occasional foray into Asia and Latin America. I spent five years in the Navy, mainly 'green side' medical, supporting the Marines. I find airport limbo and jet lag conducive to generating fictions."Xenolith" is only available as an ebook, mainly through Smashwords, but a version formatted for 6X9 trade paperpack is posted on Scrib. A POD version could be made available soon, but only when and if I'm satisfied with Xenolith's quality and stabilityXenolith is much improved from a copy and line editing standpoint since its earlier versions thanks to the sharp eyes of readers. Most of the errors mentioned in reviews have been corrected. The sequel to Xenolith, titled "Peregrin", is under revision at 98K words. It will be released sometime in 2010.
