REVIEWS

lavishly illustrated with color photos. The author describes details of the items, tracks trends and identifies collectibles that might have future potential. Older readers will wax nostalgic from seeing iconic sci-fi vehicles, gadgets, action figures and toy figures, such as Timpo plastics depicting Captain Scarlet and his men of the Earth security organization Spectrum tasked with battling the Mysterons from Mars. Due to the continuing popularity of
Anderson’s creations, this informative book should hold visual appeal for a new generation of collectors too. Stashed somewhere in my attic is a superb little set of die-cast Thunderbirds vehicles. After reading this book, now I’ve got to dig them out and start my own countdown!
