In 1987, L. Norton Hindley III, founded The Hindley Group, L.L.C., a dental practice management consulting firm. In addition to conducting dental practice appraisals, the firm assists clients with the purchase and sale of practices; associate and partnership agreements; cash management; practice reorganization; loan origination and debt restructuring; capital expenditure analyses; and litigation support. In 1997, Norton received his Accredited Senior Appraiser (business valuation) certification from the American Society of Appraisers. He is also a Certified Financial Planner and a Chartered Life Underwriter. Since 1986, Norton has served as an adjunct professor at The University of Texas Health Science Center—Houston Dental Branch and worked with Dr. Les Fullerton to develop the school’s curriculum for the Department of Practice Relations and Management. He has been a featured speaker for the Texas Dental Association as well as a variety of other professional and business associations. Norton has had numerous articles published in The Journal of the Greater Houston Dental Society.
