Bobbie has never paid much attention to eyeglasses until her best cousin, Joanie, needs them--and needs some moral support picking out frames. But a whole new world opens up for Bobbie when the two girls and their moms visit the eyeglasses store. Suddenly, Bobbie is as anxious to wear a pair of glamorous glasses as Joanie is not to. It takes an experiment gone awry and a couple of yard-sale treasures to resolve their dilemma in this sweet and endearing story about a common right of passage.
