The climax has the requisite tension, but the characters are ultimately so weakly drawn that it’s hard to believe that the future of an entire faith is at stake. Ambitious, but never for a moment inspiring.

Excellent

God's Spy is a remarkable, sinister, at times breathtaking, novel that incorporates an event already shrouded in secrecy (the election of a new pope) into an impressive murder mystery.

There is no doubt that comparisons will be made with Dan Brown’s and Thomas Harris' books but in my view that would be a disaster...I just wonder how long it will take before it is made into a film. GOD'S SPY is a book not to be missed.
