Synopsis

A classic collection of Greek myths withspecial emphasison adventure and heroic quests. The ten stories include: Creation of the Gods, Pandora's Box, Atalanta, Perseus, Pegasus and Bellerophon, King Midas and the Gift of Gold, King Midas and the Donkey's Ears, How Arachne Became a Spider.

The stories are written to appeal to a wide age range, to be read aloud to children of six to eight and for children of nine and above to read to themselves.

Sally Pomme Clayton is an internationally acclaimed storyteller. She co-founded The Company of Storytellers with Ben Haggarty and Hugh Lupton, spearheading the revival of storytelling in the U.K. She has a huge repertoire of stories, many of which feature bold heroines. She tours throughout Britain and internationally, performing at the British Museum, the Barbican and Southbank Centre. She writes for BBC Radio and theatre. Her first book for Frances Lincoln was Tales Told in Tents, followed by Amazons! and Rama and Sita: Path of Flames.Jane Ray's distinctive style has established her as a highly successful artist both for her paintings and her wrapping paper and cards.
