Synopsis

When Penny decides her husband is not worth the trouble, Beth suggests they escape the mundane and take a coach trip to history-steeped Italy. Taking Beth's son, Mark, and his girlfriend, Joanna, both celebrating getting into University with brilliant grades, they embark on a life-changing journey. During a whirlwind tour of the sights of Rome, Naples, Pompeii and Herculaneum, they quickly form friendships with the other women in their party, who are also desperate to put their problems behind them. Each having their own reason for being there, they discover common ground as they explore the history and romance of the ancient cities.
