Synopsis

Based on the legendary Anne Bonny, Heart of a Pirate follows
Anne from a life of privilege in Charles Town to New Providence,
pirate capital of the Bahamas. Here Anne makes her way among
ships, taverns, and notorious pirate captains. As Anne matures, she learns the value of true friendship, opposes the growing slave trade, and fights against the poverty, prejudice, and war that define the men and women who are pirates. When finally forced to surrender her freedom, she faces the most demanding period of her young life, the final fight against governments determined to rid the oceans of the sea robbers who threaten the world’s developing capitalism.
