About The Author
Henry James (1843 –1916) was an Anglo-American writer who alternated between the U.S. and Europe, spending much of his career in Britain where he became an English subject. He is well regarded for his novels discussing Americans and their brush with Europeans. His books explore consciousness and perception. His books, particularly later works, have been compared to impressionist painting.
