Marla Shore, owner/operator of the Cut 'N' Dye Salon, is concerned about her neighbor. His van is in the driveway, but newspapers are piling up on his lawn. Marla gets Detective Dalton Vail to search the house, and they find a dead body - but it's not her missing neighbor. Marla instantly notes the victim's hair, and recognizes the work of a master stylist in the area. With her first clue, she's off to solve the mystery.
