Synopsis

The critically acclaimed, bestselling novel from Gayle Forman, author of Where She WentJust One Day, and Just One Year.

Soon to be a major motion picture, starring Chloe Moretz!

In the blink of an eye everything changes. Seventeen year-old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall what happened afterwards, watching her own damaged body being taken from the wreck. Little by little she struggles to put together the pieces- to figure out what she has lost, what she has left, and the very difficult choice she must make. Heartwrenchingly beautiful, this will change the way you look at life, love, and family. Now a major motion picture starring Chloe Grace Moretz, Mia's story will stay with you for a long, long time.

I have to admit, this story was immensely devastating but I loved it all the same. What I loved the most was the originality of it; I mean, it takes real talent to really think outside the box like the author has.

This book is gut-wrenchingly sad yet heart-warmingly happy at the same time. There are parts where I was practically bawling my eyes out, and then others where it made me laugh out loud.

This is a really interesting book to read as it tackles a sense of achievement and also overcomes that stereotype against musicians that they can't have boyfriends who are into modern stuff (Adam) or they have no friends or they can't achieve anything in day to day life because it's a dying art. I like that.

If I stay was a very sad book and I really enjoyed reading it. In this book Mia learnt that your immediate family isn't your only family and she reflected back on her life.
