Synopsis

"The book takes place over a period of about (16) years;
it starts with the stealing of Mafia money during the
nationalization of Cuba by Fidel Castro in 1960. The story line follows
the mafia career of Quannah Parnay and his efforts to recover and
capture the perpetrators of the 50 million in cash that was stolen by
Randall Packard (aka Floyd Atwell) and his associates when it was
brought to the states from Cuba for the five New York crime families.
This and other assignments by the mob take him all over the world.
This work is historical Fiction but the places and events are accurate
although the characters are fictional and
any resemblance to persons living or
dead is purely coincidental."

I was born just out side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in a small town called "New Berlin. My father lost his job as a dock worker and we migrated to Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois to work on and manage large dairy farms. When I was sixteen I ran away from home and worked on ranches through out the western United States until an unfortunate rodeo accident temporarily crippled me for a couple of years. During that time I attended the University of Wisconsin and found my ability to write. This piece of "Historical Fiction" is strictly my invention but I had many people help me. I wrote this book under the pen name of Ivan Rowe. It is derived from an extremely intelligent dog that was my friend and companion for many years by the name of Ivan. Rowe was derived from the Classic tale "Ivan Ho" which I dearly love to read over and over again.
