Sarah was born in Wiltshire and started writing at the age of eight when she produced an autobiography of her hamster. At the age of 18 she travelled to London to train as a nurse in one of London's top teaching hospitals, and she describes what happened in those years as extremely happy and definitely censored! She worked in a number of areas after she qualified, but her favourite was A&E where she found the work stimulating and fun. Nowhere else in the hospital environment did she encounter such good teamwork between doctors and nurses. By now her interests had moved on from hamsters to men, and she started writing romance fiction. Her first completed manuscript, written after the birth of her first child, was rejected by Mills & Boon, but the comments were encouraging, so she tried again, and on the third attempt her manuscript Worth the Risk was accepted unchanged. She describes receiving the acceptance letter as one of the best moments of her life, after meeting her husband and having her two children.Sarah still works part-time in a health-related industry and spends the rest of the time with her family trying to squeeze in writing whenever she can. She is an enthusiastic skier and walker and loves outdoor life. Abby Green was born in London, but soon afterwards moved back to her mother's native Dublin. She grew up there, going to boarding school just outside the city. As an only child, her love of books came early, and she read everything from Enid Blyton to George Orwell voraciously. While on school holidays one year in her early teens, she discovered a Mills & Boon romance novel. The rest is history. Back in school, she would speed read the requisite reading--Wuthering Heights and Great Expectations--to allow time to squeeze in a couple of Mills & Boon books a week!As time marched on, studying for exams and looking for work took time away from her romance books, although she'd always manage to make a dash into a bookshop and stock up when she could. After final school exams, and on receiving a place in Sussex University to do social anthropology, Abby took a year out to make some money. In that year, completely by chance, she got a job as an assistant director on a short film. By the time the year was up and she was due to take her place in college, she was working on Braveheart! So another year was deferred...then another...then another. College fell by the wayside and she pursued a career in film and TV in Ireland. She's very lucky to have had the opportunity to experience working abroad over the years on different films in Malaysia, Slovakia and Namibia. But the long hours and very unglamorous work began to take their toll after a decade! Her love for Mills & Boon books reared its head again. On the advice of a flatmate who often talked about trying to write a romance novel, Abby saw her chance to take another path. After noting the requirements for sending a submission to Mills & Boon in London, she sat down and set to work. Even though her career didn't happen straight away and with one rejection before her acceptance, writing for the Modern/Presents line of Harlequin Mills & Boon felt so familiar it was almost uncanny! To have been accepted and now published for the iconic Mills & Boon brand is a dream come true, and she hopes that you enjoy her books as much as she enjoys writing them! You can contact Abby at Annie spent her formative years on the east coast of Australia and grew up in a book-loving family. One of her earliest memories is of lying tucked up in bed, drowsy after an afternoon's adventure in the rainforest gully that was her backyard, and listening to her father read The Wind in the Willows. She got hooked on romance early. In her teens she spent long afternoons playing tennis with her best friend. Between endless games on baking gravel, they'd stagger to her friend's house to recover, and in that house was an unending store of books, all with that distinctive rose on the cover. That's how Annie discovered romance and she's been addicted ever since. All those strong silent types, flashing-eyed Italians, haughty Spanish aristocrats and the rest. Susanne James has enjoyed creative writing since childhood, completing her first--and sadly unpublished--novel by the age of twelve. She has three grown-up children who were, and are, her pride and joy and who all live happily in Oxfordshire with their families. She was always happy to put the needs of her family before her ambition to write seriously, although along the way some published articles for magazines and newspapers helped to keep the dream alive! Susanne's big regret is that her beloved husband is no longer here to share the pleasure of her recent success. She now shares her life with Toffee, her young Cavalier King Charles spaniel, who decides when it's time to get up (early) and when a walk in the park is overdue!
