Willie McNeil, street-wise fun-loving Scot meets Raif, sophisticated serious-minded Saudi Arabian. The unlikely companions are soon involved with one of the world's most heinous crime syndicates. Typical Glasgow humour and Scottish dialect lend light relief to the seriousness of the tale and the mixture of naivety and street wisdom in the main characters combined with unpredictable and somewhat unethical behaviour in certain situations cause constant problems. Their quest leads from Glasgow to France and ultimately throughout Scotland. The rough diamond and his cultural friend are involved in a final confrontation with unexpected results in this easy-to-read story; a perfect ending to a very interesting, unusual and enjoyable book.
