Synopsis

The idyllic little English village of Kettlestone is fairly alarmed to find that, following last night's terrible storm, a real-life UFO has crash-landed this morning upon their Village Green, destroying the statue of the village's founder (no big loss) and causing all sorts of fuss and bother.

When the crew of the flying saucer then disembark and seal off the village from outsiders using a force-field, this only causes further consternation in some. For others, it's the most excitement they've had in years!

Seen through the diary entries of the residents, along with the broadcast transcripts of SUNRISE SURPRISE AM, a cheery morning daytime TV program with a reporter on the spot, this remarkable event will prove to affect people in all the varying and colourful ways only the human race could respond with.
